Building a More Intentional Life
Over the past few months, I've been in a season of slowing down, paying attention, and rebuilding my life with more intention.
Not in a dramatic way. Not with a five year plan or a reinvention arc. More like taking the time to notice what actually matters, what feels meaningful, and where I want to put my energy.
For years, I've been moving fast. Building products at scale, shipping things constantly, juggling priorities, and doing the thing we all do: pushing forward. Somewhere in that pace, I lost track of the simple daily practices that make me feel grounded and connected. So I started rebuilding them quietly, one by one.
That's how Amara began.
It wasn't meant to be an app. It started as a Google Sheet, a way for me to track my habits, reflect, and make sense of my days. Something simple to help me stay anchored to myself when life felt chaotic.
But over time, the little system I built for myself began turning into something more. A place to pay attention, check in, notice patterns, and take small steps that actually add up. I kept refining it, experimenting with it, shaping it, and eventually realized it had grown into a real product.
Amara is still early. It's imperfect, evolving, and a little vibecoded. But it has helped me build a more intentional life, and I use it every day.
And somewhere along this process, I've been rediscovering the three core threads that have always guided me, whether I realized it or not:
Curiosity. Creativity. Freedom.
Curiosity shows up in the ideas I explore, the sparks I want to follow. Creativity shows up when I build, the projects that take shape in the world. Freedom shows up in the adventures and play, the experiences that make life feel wide and alive.
These three things have always been there. I'm just paying more attention now.
I don't know exactly where this next chapter leads. I'm not trying to optimize it or force it. But I do know I want to build with more clarity, more intention, and more connection than before.
And I want to share the process, the ideas, the experiments, the tools, the reflections, with anyone who finds value in it.
If that sounds like you, stay tuned. I promise I won't write often, only when something feels worth sharing. And if I do send something your way, it will come with sincerity and hopefully a little spark.
Here's to building a life, and tools, that feel grounded, thoughtful, and expansive.
